Structured cabling with RJ45 connecting hardware is a vital part of today‘s telecommunication. 100 % uptime is mandatory for seamless data transmissionwith data rates up to 10 Gigabits per second. However, galvanic, inductive and capacitive coupling as well as potential differences may causee normous problems and hazards for any electronics connected to such a network. To protect the electronic equipment, an appropriate RJ45 surge protection with proper grounding has to be implemented in the cabling link.
